First Full-Time MBA Social Event 2009

It was a chance for everyone to get to know each other outside to the classroom. We started the night off at Merlin, located next to Deak ter for a 1 hour Drumming performance by a local group. We had drinks, socialized, and enjoyed the local beats.

After the performance we walked to the Danube to enjoy a Palinka Festival. The street was liked with delicious sausages and palinkas, two of Hungary's specialties. Together we sampled the various palinkas including Bodza and Cherry flavors. To end the night we all went to Club Creol next to the Basilica for dancing and more "socializing". As always, please see the photos on the "Corvinus University MBA Program" facebook fanpage.

2009-2010 Kick-Off Event

The event took place the weekend of September 11th at Hotel Szindbád, in Balatonszemes located at beautiful Lake Balaton, Europe's biggest fresh water lake. Located just one hour from Corvinus University, transportation was provided by the University via bus and car.

Immediately after arrival and check-in the festivities began with a welcome drink and a team building event run by professors Andras Gelei and Andras Nemeslaki. After the exercise we had some traditional Hungarian cuisine where classmates were encouraged to mingle with professors and colleagues.

After a short break to let the food settle, an official introduction to the Full-Time and Executive MBA programs was given by Professors Konrad Wetzker (Chairman of CSM) and Peter Bod. Followed by a welcoming speech by Professor Sandor Kerekes, the Vice Rector of Corvinus University. After hearing the distinguished professor's speak of the benefits and opportunities of the Corvinus MBA programs it was time for more fun, i.e. dinner, dancing, and drinks. We continued the night with wine tasting, followed by dinner at Gottwald and finally a "social program" to end the night. All expenses paid for by the University of coarse.

The next day consisted of more eating, socializing, and group team building programs. All-in-all it was a great couple of days filled with excitement for the start of a new and exciting MBA class, the class of 2011!!!
